UMass graduate and former KP Defender, Matt Keys, now graduate assistant coach in the NE-10:

Matthew Keys enters his first season as a graduate assistant coach with the Franklin Pierce University men's soccer program in 2015.

A four-year letterwinner at the University of Massachusetts (bio), Keys makes his collegiate coaching debut at Franklin Pierce in 2015. He missed just one game over his four years with the Minutemen and, even more impressively, started every game he played in while at Amherst. A constant on the backline, Keys finished his career with 73 games played and tallied nine goals and four assists for 22 points. He was a team captain as a senior in 2014, and his most productive offensive season came as a junior, when he notched 10 points on three goals and four assists.

Keys made a postseason appearance as a sophomore in 2013, with a trip to the quarterfinal round of the Atlantic-10 Championship. He capped his career with an All-Atlantic-10 First Team selection as a senior in 2014, the first First Team All-Conference nod for Massachusetts in five years. As a freshman in 2011, Keys landed on the Atlantic-10 All-Rookie Team.

Originally from Norfolk, Mass., Keys graduated from UMass in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in Sports Management and is pursuing his master's degree at Franklin Pierce.
